HTTP is a text protocol that allows computers from worldwide to exchange web pages. HTTP ( Hypertext Transfer Protocol) is the most common Internet protocol used for accessing information and data on websites (World Wide Web). In the following, some internet protocols are briefly explained: Later in this paper we will show how this information can be analyzed using some specialized tools, in order to compromise your online privacy and use your personal information on an attacker’s behalf. In this paper, we want to focus on how an attacker can sniff your personal traffic while browsing, using an active network adapter, as well as the integrated network adapter from any laptop or personal computer, showing that this vulnerability can be exploited by anyone that has knowledge about data traffic sniffing, being a cheap method to obtain sensitive information. Big companies are using services like VPNs and Proxys, data diodes and other services to keep their data confidential, but the vast majority of Internet users do not think that their privacy might be at risk when they are using their personal computer or mobile device online. Today, we care more about the security and the privacy of our online activity and we are willing to pay more in order to protect our private data when we are online.
